Look Inside Katherine's Memorial Booklet. Katherine Robinson-Turner was born to the late Ricardo and Lillie Mae Shackelford-Robinson on July 16, 1939, in Marianna, Arkansas. At an early age, Katherine accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized by Rev James Hall. When it came to the Lord, Katherine would be the first to tell you that she had a personal relationship with Jesus. She was part of the great migration of African Americans who moved from the South to the North in search of a better life. She settled in Chicago, Ill., with her family. Katherine was a phenomenal woman who brought joy to many people. After a lengthy illness, she was called from labor to rest, departing this life on Tuesday, February 26, 2024, at 9:15 PM.
