Born April 12, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Bishop Steven M. Handy Sr. dedicated his life to faith, music, and service. A gifted musician, martial artist, ordained minister, and sound engineer, he founded Word of Encouragement Full Gospel Ministries and Unbelievable Sounds Unlimited alongside his late wife, Evangelist Grace Handy. He built lasting relationships through ministry and music before peacefully entering eternal rest on June 22, 2026. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, extended family, and countless lives he touched.
